Katharine Castle

Katharine was RPS' editor-in-chief from 2021 to 2024. She first joined the team in 2017, where she spent four years in the RPS hardware mines - a refreshing change from the endless stream of smartphone reviews she was subjected to in her former life as a tech journalist. She's always loved video games, and grew up on a steady diet of Nintendo and Final Fantasy fodder. But she also likes to read as much as she can, especially if it's something in translation (she also has a whole Instagram for that, if you're interested). She still plays pretty much anything she can get her hands on, is very partial to JRPGs and the fetching of quests, but also loves strategy and turn-based tactics games and will never say no to a good Metroidvania.
